<h1>Domaines et Vins de Propriété - Bourgogne</h1> <h2></h2> <h3>ESTATE</h3> The Domaine Loïs DUFOULEUR is located in the heart of the town of Beaune, very close to the famous Hospices de Beaune. Anne-Marie and Philippe Dufouleur, the owners, run with their son Loïs this estate which vineyards extend over 5 hectares, mainly situated on the Beaune appellation area. This Domaine produces in particular rich and subtle renowned red Premiers Crus : «le Clos du Roi », « le Clos des Perrières », « les Cent Vignes ». Moreover, Anne-Marie and Philippe Dufouleur have turned a part of their character house, which dominates a vast garden covering 4500 m2, into a B&B. They offer 4 nice bedrooms including one suite to their customers or tourists visiting this beautiful town of Beaune. Each of them has a “climat” appellation name, reminding the main activity of the Dufouleur family. <h3>VINE GROWERS</h3> Pationnate about great wines of Burgundy, Philippe DUFOULEUR and his wife Anne-Marie, created their Domaine in Beaune in 1978. Anne-Marie is in charge of managing the vine-growing whereas Philippe deals with vinification. The “Clos des Perrières” is a part of their vineyard which is particularly important for them. "Our first production of « Clos des Perrières » was in 2005. We did everything possible to produce a very high quality wine”. <h3>WINE MAKING</h3> Particular attention is paid to the respect of the soil : the vines are cultivated using no pesticide and according to sustainable agriculture principles. The soil is ploughed and the grapes are harvested by hand. In order to produce highly aromatic wines, the vinification takes place in a wooden tank for 3 weeks. The wines are aged in oak barrels, 1/3 of which are new.
