<h2></h2><br><p><p><h3>ESTATE</h3><br>
<b>The Domaine Philippe Girard is a pretty estate situated in the heart of Savigny-lès-Beaune, a picturesque village close to Beaune. The village centre, with its 12th church and 17th century château, is imbued with a historic atmosphere. As you stroll through the narrow streets, you will notice about fifteen 17th century wall inscriptions. However, no one knows who the authors of these texts were or why they were placed there. Philippe Girard has put one of these sayings on his wine labels: “Les vins de Savigny sont vins nourrissants, théologiques et morbifuges” (“The wines of Savigny are nourishing, theological and death-preventive”).
The domaine consists of 9 hectares of vines spread over 3 villages in the Côte de Beaune district:
- Savigny-lès-Beaune
- Pernand-Vergelesses
- Aloxe-Corton.
The Girards of Savigny-lès-Beaune have been vine-growers from father to son for 5 centuries. The two brothers in the current generation, Philippe and Jean-Jacques, have inherited the family's wine-making skills, and each have their own vineyards and domaine.

<h3>VINE GROWERS</h3><br>
<b>Philippe is a producer who likes a job well done. He places great importance on the vinification and ageing processes, and makes delicate, elegant wines.
In addition to his work on the domaine, he has also opened a wine bar in Beaune as a means of introducing people to the fruit of his work.

<h3>WINE MAKING</h3><br>
<b>Traditional Burgundy vinification techniques, followed by ageing in oak barrels for an average of 18 months, producing the distinctive characteristics of fine Burgundy wines.<br>
