<h1>Domaines et Vins de Propriété - Bourgogne</h1> <h2></h2> <h3>ESTATE</h3> The family domaine "Guy Pierre JEAN & Fils" is situated in the small village of Aloxe-Corton. The estate extends over 14 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits districts and produces red wines from Pinot Noir grapes and whites from Chardonnay. It includes over 7 ha in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits lieu-dit "Dames Huguettes" (one of the best parcels as it neighbours the Nuits Saint Georges Premiers Crus). The coat of arms bears the house initials and is easy to recognise: it displays a hunting horn, a boar's head, oak leaves and two daggers. <h3>VINE GROWERS</h3> The domaine has been managed by the two sons of the family, Fabrice and Thierry, since 1991. These two young viticulturists use modern vinification methods combined with traditional practices and are totally focused on achieving the highest levels of quality. <h3>WINE MAKING</h3> Vinification of the red wines takes place in oak vats after the grapes have been manually sorted. The wine is then matured in oak barrels (1/3 in new oak) for 14 to 18 months. The white wines are vinified in the traditional way: fermentation, lees stirring and oak ageing <h3>SURFACE</h3> - 12 ha, red wines - 2 ha, white wines <h3>PRODUCTION</h3> 80.000 bottles/year
